I first met Ksenija at a fellow photography convention a few years back (WPPI for those who know...). I was blown away by her beauty, both inside and out! We've sort of kept in touch via the interweb and a few years later I received an email from her letting me know that she was engaged to the amazing Mark and that they wanted Justin and I to photograph their wedding! Justin and I were excited of course, what an honor to photograph a fellow photographer's wedding and in Michigan too! It's always a delight to get out of our California scene and mix up the locations.
One of my favorite memories from that day was watching the love Mark had for his entire family, especially his parents!
My favorite shot of the day...I mean, really?! Ksen looked fantastic!
Mark & Ksen married at the Planterra Conservatory in Bloomfield Michigan. Loved that the entire building was floor to ceiling glass windows!

Best part of the ceremony was when Mark surprised Ksenija with a song he wrote and sang called "I Do", loved it!

The wedding day was beautiful and of course Ksen was a gorgeous bride!!! I seriously dug her pink lip color and wild curly blonde hair!

I know that this is a few weeks overdue, but I finally put together a post about this wonderful little boy turning 5 years old!! Wow, what a difference a year makes! This kid has grown by leaps and bounds! Sloan or "Sloanie" is the comedy relief to our family, he is so witty, artistic, inquisitive, sweet, stubborn, and full of so much personality. Sometimes Justin and I don't know how we got so lucky to call him our son!

It's a wonder why he was born during the halloween holiday, Sloan LOVES dressing up! Our little sleeping dragon after his birthday party last year!

January 2012. The basketball was so big he could alllllmost make a basket.

He is SUCH a boy! Not afraid to play with worms, insects, dirt, etc...
May 2012. Baseball! His favorite position to play was catcher, just because he got to dress up in the cool gear, lol!

Sloan's graduation program...so cute that he wants to "work with my dad" when he gets older.

July 2012. He literally sunburned his eye balls after a long day of swimming.
August 2012. The first morning on our way to a family reunion, I adore this pic of all my kids waking up with the bright sun on them, so funny!

October 2012. He also got a haircut! He begged and begged us for months, it was SO hard to part with his long red locks, but it was time and his haircut turned out SUPER handsome!
Sloan wanted a "Star Wars" themed birthday party, he played young Anakin Skywalker.
Happy birthday my sweet Sloanie! This mama adores you and loves you beyond words! Can't wait to see how much you grow this next year!
